We are currently recruiting for Carpenters (2nd, 3rd, or 4th Year Apprentice & Journeyperson) to join the team at the Vancouver General Hospital project!

Please note, there is the possibility of working different shifts – afternoons, evenings, and weekends – as the project needs

Responsibilities

• Be able to comprehend blueprint readings and prepare layouts
• Understand industrial concrete forming, be able to build concrete forms, and other structures
• Complete rough and finishing carpentry tasks, while utilizing appropriate math skills
• Check completed units to be sure they are level, square, plumb and the right size, shape and location
• Perform other related duties as assigned
• Organization and site clean up as per site HSE standards
  
  

Requirements

• Preference will be given to a Journeyperson Carpenter Ticket from a recognized provincial training authority or be a Registered Carpenter Apprentice
• Non-ticketed carpenters must provide proof of hours relevant to the industrial Carpentry trade
• Experience with concrete formwork required
• Fall Protection and Confined Space is an asset
• Light equipment operating experience an asset
• Certifications needed, CSTS & WHMIS
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Describe and point out safety compliance and regulatory issues
