About the workplace
This is a permanent, full-time role that will enjoy hybrid working arrangements which can be fulfilled primarily from the Vancity head office location and your Lower Mainland based home office. Periodically, you’ll be required to attend in-person activities or events.
A typical day would involve…
- Work with internal business areas to define research objectives to meet business goals.
- Managing and evolving the planning and execution of member measurement programs (including the member relationship, ad/brand tracking and member experience studies).
- Collecting, compiling, and analyzing relevant member and market research data to provide recommendations that inform business planning and performance measurement.
- Creating research briefs that provide marketing insights to achieve business objectives.
- Maintaining the relationship with external marketing research suppliers to execute research programs/activities and maintain knowledge of business and industry trends.
- Sharing expertise/supporting peers in their understanding of CX/UX research practices
You are:
- Expert Researcher - Research and analytical skills to perform qualitative/quantitative analysis, applying accepted methods and techniques to carry out analytical procedures and the ability to assess and recommend the appropriate course of action based on comprehensive analysis.
- Excellent Communicator - You possess strong communication and interpersonal skills to act as a resource for the specialized area, providing specialized advice and explanations, and responding to enquiries; and also to develop management reports.
- Subject-Matter Expert - you possess significant knowledge in your functional area and ensure to keep updated with the most relevant developments in your space.
- Confident Problem Solver - Problem solving and decision-making skills to diagnose challenges and issues; develop innovative business solutions; and to assess risks and opportunities that may.
You have:
- Knowledge of best practice in market research methodologies (qualitative and quantitative), analysis and reporting platforms. (Qualtrics, Recollective)
- Extensive experience in journey mapping and user experience research.
- Outstanding professionalism and customer facing skills.
- Ability to lead meeting and gather requirements.
- Ability to research answers and solve problems independently.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with a commitment to professional and customer service excellence.
- Post-Secondary Education/Diploma (Commerce) or related field.
The team:
The Senior Research Consultant reports directly into the Manager, Consumer Insights.

The salary range for the role is $81,200 to $122,000 and a candidate’s offer is likely to be up to the mid-point of the role ($101,600). The upper half of the salary range is typically reserved for individuals who have demonstrated consistent strong performance in the role and possess a high level of job knowledge and skill.
