Brief Description

The Warehouse Associate/ Reach Truck Operator works with the warehouse team. They are responsible for picking orders with 100% accuracy and in a timely fashion in addition to other necessary responsibilities. Warehouse Associate/ Reach Truck Operator is responsible for following all warehouse functions, policies and procedures.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for containers put away when needed.
  • Responsible for packing orders carefully on skids, shrink-wrapping and labeling CLEARLY with the customer’s name, carrier, date, and qty. of skids.
  • Responsible for ensuring that all boxes are clean and damage free before placing onto skids to be shipped, use a clean cloth when cleaning boxes as needed.
  • Responsible for loading and unloading trucks.
  • Responsible for removing shrink-wrap and debris from skids when re-stocking products.
  • Responsible for communicating to Warehouse Supervisor/Lead Hand any shipping, packaging supplies that are becoming low and need to be reordered in for the warehouse, also all daily activities and morning meeting discussions with warehouse team.
  • Responsible for maintaining a safe and tidy work environment continuously.
  • Responsible for stocking skids correctly in the appropriate areas and communicating the locations using the appropriate documents.
  • Responsible for daily safe operation check and completion of records of lifting devices before start of shift. And weekly for water, levels, and charging as required.
  • Accurate shipping and receiving, recording, labeling, and documenting of all inbound/outbound freight.
  • Updating product movement and transfers on warehouse spreadsheets when required.
  • Making sure home locations are stocked with proper product for that location to ensure smooth order fulfillment.
  • Responsible for maintaining the warehouse as a safe, clean, and organized facility.
  • Ability to relate to new associates and train warehouse processes in an understandable manner.
  • Ensure the warehouse is always accessible and safe for employees.
  • Assist in counting of physical inventory.
  • Communicate daily with Warehouse Supervisor/Lead Hand all aspects of the daily running of Warehouse: shipping, receiving, unsafe conditions, and any potential suggestions for bettering warehouse operation & efficiency.
  • Other Miscellaneous duties occurring in the daily operation of the warehouse.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be 18+ years of age and legally eligible to work in Canada.
  • Reliable transportation and/or personal vehicle is necessary.
  • Licenses required: (licenses must be valid and maintained):
    • Raymond reach truck
    • Counterbalance
    • Power walkie
    • Material handler
  • Must be able to bend, reach, lift and perform the other physical requirements of the job.
  • High School Diploma required; college degree preferred.
