As a BI Analyst, You Will

• Craft and drive data solutions with executive stakeholders, providing alternate solutions on business KPIs and their measurement plans
• Extract novel conclusions about the marketplace that can help evolve business strategy, with little direction
• Ideate and implement unexplored analyses that can identify areas of opportunity that support business goals
• Direct and lead visualization and flexible storytelling in dashboards
• Architect and own a reporting suite to tell the story of business trends, patterns, and outliers through rich visualizations
• Build monitors around data accuracy and consistency in Presentation Layer function and performance and pro-actively fix issues as found
• Author robust and flexible data models that answer a wide variety of use cases and complex analytics
• Search and identify pathways for automation and data efficiency, closing gaps and leading initiatives to improve gaps
• Identify gaps in best practices in reporting and analysis: data integrity, test design, analysis, validation, and documentation
• Be able to work independently, identify dependencies to unblock projects, and craft courses of action to complete projects
• Mentor and train junior engineers on best practices
  
  

What You Bring To The Table

• 5+ years of professional experience demonstrating career progression and increase complexity of work
• 3+ years of experience working in business intelligence, data analytics, data science or a similar role
• 3+ years of experience in building reporting and dashboarding solutions using tools such as Tableau, Sigma, Looker, Superset, PowerBI
• 3+ years required experience with Looker and LookML
• 1+ years experience with dbt, nice to have
• Expert in database fundamentals, SQL, and performance tuning
• Adept in solving business problems and curating data to drive executive decisions
• Expert in creating dashboards that invite data exploration and conform to data visualization best practices
• Ability to think strategically, analyze and interpret market and consumer information. Business background is a plus.
• Experience working with and expert with at least one of Snowflake, Redshift, PostgreSQL, and/or other DBMS platforms
• Excellent communication skills and experience working with technical and non-technical teams
• Proven record of using data to solve for complex use cases, independently authoring models around predictive analyses or process optimization
