IMPLEMENTATION SPECIALIST, Interdisciplinary Research Chair in Mental Health of Children & Young People

Reporting to the Interdisciplinary Research Chair in Mental Health of Children & Young People, the implementation specialist will be supervised by Dr. Vickie Plourde and will be conducting research within integrated youth services (IYS) in New Brunswick (NB), in collaboration with a team composed of community members, researchers, clinical/administrative staff, and students at the undergraduate and graduate level.
As part of a larger research program that focuses on establishing a learning health system in the context of IYS in NB, the implementation specialist will support the implementation of the research program. They will lead the support team and the implementation science working group and will support the research and evaluation activities of these two teams. The implementation specialist will also prepare and oversee the implementation plan and will help in preparing the capacity-building activities in all communities.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Research
· Prepare ethics applications
· Participation in team meetings with different partners
· Lead two working groups (e.g., preparation of upcoming meetings and activities)
· Supervise and participate in data collection and data analysis
· Apply the First Nations principles of ownership, control, access, and possession (OCAP) within the research
Knowledge Mobilization
· Development, evaluation and monitoring of an implementation plan for certain research activities
· Preparation of capacity development activities with different partners in the learning community
· Preparation and implementation of a knowledge translation plan, in collaboration with communities
· Participation in knowledge translation and the dissemination of research results
Others
· Supervise students and other staff
· Collaborate with the research team and community
· Other tasks requested as part of the position
REQUIREMENTS:
· PhD or master's degree in the field of health/mental health with specialization in implementation science
· Good knowledge of youth mental health services
· Excellent teamwork skills
· Excellent communication skills
· Good knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite
ASSETS :
· Experience working in collaboration with various community and government partners
· Advanced knowledge in the field of integrated youth services
· Fluency in French and English (oral and written)
- SALARY: To be determined based on experience
