Your role

Join our team as an Assistant Project Manager with the Southern Ontario Business Unit.

In this role, you will get the opportunity to work with the best in the industry and to develop your skills on a diverse range of projects that vary in scope and complexity. In this role, you will be able to demonstrate your experience by supporting projects in a variety of sectors including civil infrastructure.

Qualifications

  • A university degree or diploma in civil engineering, architecture, construction management or project management (or an equivalent combination of academic and practical experience)
  • Must be able to commute to various locations based on projects assigned to such as London, Sarnia, Kent, Chatham
  • Self-motivation, initiative and an eagerness to learn and contribute to meeting project deliverables
  • 2+ years experience in project management consulting supporting the delivery of projects in areas such as construction, engineering or architecture. Previous experience can include summer work terms, co-operative education programs or internships

  • Recent experience delivering projects in the civil infrastructure sector is an asset
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Previous exposure to consultant and design management, construction contract administration or project financials is an asset
  • A results-oriented approach with the ability to take action and responsibility
  • Exceptional detail orientation, organizational skills and the ability to prioritize competing tasks to meet tight deadlines and client expectations
  • Strong computer skills, including a working knowledge of scheduling (MS Project), word processing (Word) and spreadsheet (Excel) software applications
  • CAPM designation, PMP and LEED accreditation would be an asset
