Advantage Personnel is seeking compassionate and dedicated Personal Support Workers (PSW's) to join our clients healthcare team in Saint John, New Brunswick!

In this vital role, you will provide essential support to individuals in their homes or healthcare facilities, assisting them with daily activities and promoting their overall well-being.
As a PSW, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for your clients, ensuring they receive the care and attention they need. This position offers a unique opportunity to make a positive impact in the lives of individuals and their families.

Key Responsibilities:
* Assist clients with daily personal care tasks, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting, while respecting their dignity and privacy.
* Help clients with mobility, including transferring them from bed to chair and assisting with walking or using mobility aids.
* Prepare nutritious meals and assist clients with feeding as needed, ensuring dietary requirements are met.
* Assist clients in managing their medications, ensuring they take the correct dosage at the right times under the supervision of healthcare professionals.
* Provide emotional support and companionship, engaging clients in conversation and activities to promote mental well-being.
* Assist with light housekeeping duties such as laundry, cleaning, and organizing to maintain a safe and healthy living environment.
* Maintain accurate records of client care and observations, reporting any changes in condition to the supervising nurse or healthcare professional.
* Collaborate effectively with healthcare teams, family members, and clients to ensure the best possible care and support.

Qualifications/Requirements:
* Completion of a Personal Support Worker program or equivalent training from a recognized institution
* A valid/active certificate in First Aid and CPR is required
* Previous experience in a caregiving role is preferred, but not mandatory. New graduates are encouraged to apply
* Must be registered or eligible for registration with the New Brunswick Personal Support Worker Registry
* Ability to lift and assist clients with mobility and personal care tasks
* Successful completion of a criminal background check and vulnerable sector check
* Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
