We are looking for an Agile Coach within the Infrastructure and Operations division. Reporting to the Manager, Project Delivery, you will be responsible to lead and coach teams, leaders and to promote business agility within the organization.

What you will do:

  • Develop and promote agile best practices and techniques within the organization, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation
  • Provide coaching and training to teams and stakeholders on agile principles and mindset
  • In collaboration with the Director, Infrastructure Delivery Transformation and Manager, Project Delivery, partner with senior leadership to align the I&O portfolio with strategic objectives, advocating for agile values as enablers of business agility and innovation
  • Drive continuous improvement in portfolio governance processes to enhance portfolio agility and responsiveness to changing business needs
  • Establish a high level of trust and credibility with business and technology leaders by maintaining relationships and ensuring a high quality of services
  • Provide continuous feedback and/or coaching to all staff
  • Organize and guide teams on how to use Scrum, Kanban and other Agile practices and methodologies
  • Coach the team on effective use of Agile Ceremonies including Daily Scrum, Kanban Replenishment, Retrospective and Sprint Planning, supporting full team engagement
  • Support/Mentor the Product Owner on developing Vision, Product Roadmap, release plan, sprint plan and backlog grooming
  • Foster collaboration across all team members, encouraging cross-training and mutual support
  • Guide and coach those outside the teams to understand which interactions with the team are helpful and which are not
  • Keep the team organized and on track via reporting - burndown charts, cycle time, etc. to ensure transparency and awareness amongst the team practitioners
  • Foster self-organization and growth within the team
  • Reinforce an Agile mindset - continuous Improvement in teams through conversations, coaching, and role-playing exercises
  • Hands on with JIRA and Confluence to ensure board(s) and cards are appropriately updated

What You Will Bring

  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience directly and indirectly managing teams of senior level professionals including staff and contingent labour
  • 5+ years of experience as a Scrum Master or Project Manager, during which you coached teams on Agile practices and ensure alignment to Agile mindset
  • Demonstrated ability to promote innovative thinking and self-improvement within the team
  • Proven knowledge of Agile, Scrum, Kanban, SAFe or hybrid methods to guide and optimize the way the team works with maximum efficiency & effectiveness
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to prepare communications and interact effectively with all levels, technical and non-technical within the organization
  • Encourages innovation, thinks outside boundaries and apparent limitations
  • Strong leadership capability, executing as appropriate in the areas of responsibility

The base salary for this position is between $74000 - $137000 annually. This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus, commission etc).
