We are on the lookout for a dynamic SALES PROFESSIONAL to join our team. This role involves cultivating working relationships and generating new business opportunities with our partner distributors, commercial contractors, flooring / tiling contractors and installers, specifiers, architects, and other key influencers. You will achieve this through job site visits, cold calls, distributor training, professional presentations, and embodying the ARDEX solution-driven, 'customer first' approach.

This is a field sales position for our Canadian team in Manitoba/Saskatchewan, the preferred home office location is Winnipeg, Daily travel throughout the territory is required, with some overnight stays. Industry experience and local market knowledge are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Drive Sales Growth: Proactively develop and grow sales of ARDEX and Henry products across your assigned territory.
  • Generate Leads: Identify and pursue new business opportunities.
  • Promote Products: Launch and promote new products through hands-on demonstrations, presentations, and professional displays.
  • Build Relationships: Develop new and existing relationships with partner distributors, specialist flooring/tiling contractors, general contractors, architects, and key business influencers.
  • Field Service & Support: Provide unmatched field service and support, including job start assistance, bid preparation, and distributor/installer training.
  • Technical Expertise: Make technical recommendations, liaising with our technical team for resources and solutions.
  • Action Plans: Develop and execute effective field sales action plans.
  • Achieve Targets: Meet and exceed targets, goals, and objectives set by the Sales Manager.
  • Collaborate: Work with corporate resources (Technical, Customer Service, Marketing, Logistics) to deliver exceptional service to ARDEX customers.
  • Professional Standards: Represent ARDEX as an industry leader through exceptional professional standards and a 'customer first' approach.

Required Experience

  • Minimum 5 years outside sales experience and / or minimum 5 years knowledge of building materials industries is required. Knowledge of flooring or tiling installation systems is required.
  • Technical proficiency. Familiar with architectural specifications and construction design elements
  • Sound business acumen, high levels of business integrity, ethics and good professional judgement!
  • High level of energy and enthusiasm for the industry. Solution driven and customer focused.
  • Assertiveness and ability to drive and close sales.
  • Must be able to conduct product presentations and demonstrations confidently and professionally.
  • Must possess a valid drivers license and a clean driving record. Must be able to travel daily throughout assigned territory, including some overnight.
  • Able to operate non power and power tools. Good mechanical or hands-on skills to meet the needs of intensive and physically demanding field support and service
  • Able to lift to 70 pounds on occasion, with a carrying capability of 55 pounds.
  • Must be legally permitted to work in Canada, and must be able to travel to the United States (periodically for training)

Education

  • Four (4) year college degree or greater is preferred, or minimum completed high school diploma with relevant industry work experience.
