The Opportunity

Join the BGO Properties team and work alongside the best professionals in real estate in one of BGO’s fast-growing business lines. If you have an expertise for brand-building, storytelling, and developing rich and rewarding relationships with clients and public stakeholders, then the role of National Marketing Manager for BGO Properties is the perfect opportunity to take your career to the next level. As part of a recent global rebranding of BGO, BGO Properties is a distinct business segment in Canada focused on attracting top tier tenants to our properties and delivering outstanding property management services to the communities who work, shop, and live in our buildings. Your focus will be on establishing the brand story and identity for our managed Office and Industrial properties across Canada. Working alongside a team of niche marketing experts from our other asset classes, this role will report to the Managing Director, National Leasing and Business Development where the implementation of your marketing strategies will directly support or existing and overall growth or our business in Canada.

What You Will Do

  • Work directly with the Leasing Teams to assist with property specific initiatives while implementing the latest marketing trends, technologies and best practices for all Office and Industrial properties under the management of BGO Properties.
  • Continuously seek innovative approaches to enhance marketing effectiveness and tenant engagement initiatives for all Office and Industrial properties under the management of BGO Properties.
  • Develop, implement, maintain and analyze digital marketing strategies and programs which may include blogging and storytelling, the build out of new social media channels for BGO Properties while providing national oversight for our office properties’ social and digital channels, content curation campaigns, and online community management.
  • Support the Leasing Teams in preparing social media content to be posted on LinkedIn and other platforms.
  • Play a central role in the development of branding for new, and rebranding for existing, office and industrial properties in our managed portfolio.
  • Produce annual marketing plans with established goals and objectives and manage all associated budgets.
  • Develop internal communications channels to effectively bring property management and leasing teams into the fold on all national marketing campaigns and initiatives. Produce quarterly briefings with BGO Properties leadership team on marketing plans.
  • Assist in the planning and production of presentations for client-facing materials, industry events, networking functions and conferences to enhance BGO’s presence and engagement in the industry.
  • Liase with external agencies, vendors and partners to support marketing initiatives to elevate the BGO Properties brand.
  • Collaborate with BGO’s global corporate communications team on major campaigns including company-wide initiatives related to philanthropy, public affairs and employee engagement.

Who You Are

  • University degree or diploma in related area (marketing, public relations, advertising or business administration).
  • Minimum 5 years of marketing experience preferably in a commercial real estate environment.
  • Some working knowledge of graphic design software and basic/intermediate level graphic design capability.
  • A strong and demonstrable understanding of digital and social media strategy, and experience with developing or overseeing the production of web-based content.
  • Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills; ability to develop and sustain productive and cooperative working relationships at all levels; ability to exercise confidentiality; committed to building relationships with industry peers and trade associations.
  • Ability to allocate one's time effectively, work under pressure and manage tight deadlines; ability to handle multiple demands and competing priorities, and adapt to new ideas and constant changes.
  • Aptitude with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, web development, social media applications and listening tools, and graphic/publisher programs.
  • Advanced understanding of marketing and customer experience concepts as they relate to the property management industry; ability to interpret, organize and analyze data (including financial data).
  • Ability for frequent out-of-town travel (30%).
  • Must have a valid driver’s license at all times during employment.
  • Police Clearance: A criminal verification check is required for employment
