The Field Service Supervisor is critical to the smooth operation of our customers distribution centers and will be required to supervise and work alongside a team of Customer Service Technicians performing work involving troubleshooting, repairing, and conducting preventive maintenance on our customers various material handling systems. The Field Service Supervisor will ensure preventive maintenance schedules are met & corrective actions are completed as required, with support from the CSTs they will be supervising. The Field Service Supervisor represents Honeywell Intelligrated at the customer location and will also need to follow our customers’ guidelines for safety and general work practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ability to work varying shifts as well as on weekends and holidays as required.
  • May oversee and direct financial aspects as assigned by monitoring and tracking expenses, preparing, reviewing and/or analyzing business reports.
  • Assigns and monitors maintenance department daily operation related to maintaining the material handling equipment covered under the contract, while ensuring the team members comply with local and federal regulations relating to the maintenance operations.
  • Monitors and ensures areas of responsibility follow Intelligrated’s standards for quality and safety, maintaining procedures and supporting documentation.
  • Assists in driving and implementing the business plan against the contract for the area of responsibility to achieve facility goals (production, quality, safety); implements operational improvements.
  • Supervises and leads a team of Customer Service Technicians.
  • Assists in forecasting and follows-up on staffing, workload, and performance results to meet business demands for workload and performance results.
  • Provides resolution to mechanical, technical, & controls issues; documents all information relating to customer support issues in CMMS and Dashboard database.
  • Follows up with customers and other departments to ensure issues have been resolved.
  • Ensures the appropriate paperwork is completed in a timely manner.
  • Maintains inventory of spare part and company provided tools, electronics, and test eq.
  • Provides information to management and other teams enhance Customer Service success.
  • Executes a safe, timely, & quality-oriented PM program on the conveyor system.
  • Adheres to all department and company standards, operating procedures and safety requirements while contributing to continuous improvement.
  • May be required to perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.
  • Work individually and/or as part of a team to repair, maintain and service industrial equipment.
  • Completes work orders, records, logs and other written or computer-based documents according to established procedures.
  • Diagnoses mechanical and electrical problems using technical drawings (e.g., blueprints, electronic/mechanical schematics) and diagnostic tools (e.g., multi-meter, other test devices, laptop).
  • Operates material handling equipment, battery equipment, moving machinery, and other powered equipment.
  • Utilizes TCPiP as a troubleshooting/setup tool.
  • Performs preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment (e.g., pneumatic systems, mechanical, electronic, and electrical equipment, etc.) according to safety and quality procedures.
  • Troubleshoots and repairs complex electrical/electronic problems with equipment, networks, PC logic controls, Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and external Input/Output (I/O) devices where the repair is not immediately visible or obvious.
  • Ability to work at heights using Mobile Elevating Work Platforms.
  • Participates in cleaning the conveyor systems and organizes part cage as appropriate.

You Must Have

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum two (5) years Mechanical and/or Electrical troubleshooting and repair experience working on material handling equipment including: conveyor, sortation, palletizers, and robotics.

We Value

  • Post-Secondary education in Electrical, Mechanical or Engineering Field having obtained a certificate or degree in said field.
  • MS Office Skills (Word, Outlook, Excel)
  • Strong communication skills: verbal and written.
  • Previous customer service and interaction experience.
  • Controls troubleshooting experience.
  • Strong safety record.
  • Networking troubleshooting experience
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Strong knowledge of automated equipment control systems .
  • Ability to assist all tradespeople as required.
