Opportunity Overview

Plan, prepare, set up and provide quality service in all areas of food production to include all menu items in accordance with standards and plating guide specifications. Maintain organisation, cleanliness and sanitation of work areas and equipment. Must have the desire to push oneself to provide the highest level of skill and work ethic. Focused on learning classic and modern techniques, and working everyday to master the trade.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies, equipment procedures and standards.
  • Ensure that standards are maintained at a superior level on a daily basis.
  • Maintain and strictly abide by Food Safe regulations and Club requirements.
  • Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all Club policies and procedures.
  • Meet with Sous Chef to review assignments, anticipated business levels, changes and other information pertinent to the job performance.
  • Complete opening duties according to department standards.
  • Breakdown workstation and complete closing duties according to department standards:
  • Return all inventory food items to the proper storage areas.
  • Rotate all returned inventory product following the First In First Out system
  • Wrap, cover, label and date all inventory items being put away.
  • Straighten up and organize all storage areas.
  • Clean up and wipe down food prep areas, reach-ins/walk-ins, shelves according to HACCP.
  • Return all unused and clean utensils/equipment to the specified locations.
  • Turn off all equipment not needed for the next shift.
  • Restock items that were depleted during the shift.
  • Review status of work and follow-up actions required with the Supervisor before leaving.
  • Exhibit a friendly, helpful and courteous manner when dealing with guests and fellow employees.
  • Perform all other duties as required.

Qualifications & Skill Requirements

  • Culinary certification preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must have FoodSafe Level 1 certification
  • Must have a flexible work schedule
  • Required to participate in training

Compensation

Hourly wage $20-24 per hour
