Job Description

What is the opportunity?

As a Business Application Support Specialist, you will provide RBC Wealth Management branches with personalized, consultative software support and technology coaching via email and telephone. This position exists to support DS and PH&N branch staff with the growing number and complexity of software tools. The Business Application Support Specialist will partner with Branch Application Specialists to provide ”how-to” technology support and solutions that allow IA teams to streamline processes and suggest business building opportunities using software tools.

What will you do?

  • Consult with internal partners and business owners to provide for “how to” needs of the caller
  • Provide superior consultation and coaching for individual needs.
  • Escalate issues and problems to internal support teams as appropriate.
  • Provide solutions to meet client needs while promoting user self-sufficiency.
  • Identify common threads of user requests and escalate to group manager for investigation of training/support solutions.
  • Assist in webcast delivery where and when applicable.
  • Share best practices amongst team members in terms of technology tools and overall business practices.

What do you need to succeed?

Must Have

  • Retail brokerage experience in a DS or PH&N branch setting
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of the wealth management industry
  • Good knowledge of technical and business trends in the wealth management business
  • Demonstrates commitment to learning and professional development.

Nice to Have

  • French and English language skills (Bilingual)
  • Knowledge of New Account Documentation and procedures
  • In-depth knowledge of SalesForce and COB
  • Operations or Head Office background
