We’re Raise, and we’ve joined forces with our client Accerta Services Inc., who are looking to hire a full-time, permanent Data Warehouse Developer.

They are a B Corp certified social enterprise enabling healthcare equality for all. As a social enterprise, they manage dental, vision, drug, and healthcare benefits programs exclusively for government and social services agencies in Canada. Their targeted experience and innovative technology provide cost savings, reliable service, process continuity, and accurate, insightful data that enables governments to make informed strategic decisions, reducing stress on the healthcare system through streamlined administration.

As the new Data Warehouse Developer, you’ll build and maintain a new data warehousing solution in Azure Cloud. The role is to work closely with the application development and cloud management team to provide Data Warehousing capability and BI to the IIO project.

Accountabilities

  • Develop, manage, and maintain an optimized Data Pipeline Architecture in Azure Cloud
  • Work closely with the application developers to identify sources and integration
  • Maintain Logical and Physical Data Models with corresponding Data Dictionaries while following Guidelines, Standards, and Procedures
  • Manage data ELT processes, using Azure Data Factory (ADF), to ingest data from source systems into the DW
  • Implement and enforce DW and Data Best Practices and Methodologies
  • Understand our security and compliance requirements related to our Data Processes

Details

This is a full-time, permanent position offering a hybrid work model that blends remote work with planned in-office days. You will be required to visit the Toronto office a few times a month. Schedules will be determined in partnership between individuals, managers, and the team. While enjoying the flexibility of working from home. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.

The position offers a competitive base salary ranging from $85,000 to $90,000 per year, depending on experience. Additionally, you will receive a comprehensive benefits package and a Defined Benefit Pension Plan starting from your first day. Other perks include vacation time, a performance-based bonus, and a one-time home office allowance.

Qualifications

  • University or college diploma in Technology
  • Expert knowledge in SQL with a minimum of 3 years of experience
  • Expert knowledge in ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) and data warehousing with a minimum of 3 years of experience
  • Expert knowledge of relational databases (MS SQL)
  • Strong knowledge in Azure Data Factory
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Azure
  • Strong experience in data modelling
  • Experience in building and optimizing ETL pipelines
  • Good knowledge of cybersecurity practices
  • Ability to analyse to gather business and system requirements
  • Translate business requirements into specifications that will be used to drive data store/data warehouse/data mart design and configuration
  • Must be a self-starter and able to work with minimum supervision
