The Opportunity:

We are seeking multiple highly skilled IT Corporate Function Business Partners for each to act as the primary liaison between the IT department and corporate functions such as Finance, HR, Legal, Shared Services, Procurement, Marketing/Communications and Project Delivery. This role ensures that IT services and solutions align with the strategic goals of these functions, driving efficiency and innovation while maintaining compliance with global standards.

What you can expect to do here:

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Strategic Alignment
    • Partner with corporate function leaders to understand their strategic objectives and ensure IT initiatives support these goals.
    • Partner with IT function leaders to ensure alignment of all new initiatives with the Global IT strategy
    • Partner with Enterprise Architecture to ensure the solution aligns with the WSP IT architecture
  • Service Management
    • Responsible for managing corporate demands, service escalations and executive engagement
    • Leverage and advocate for the demand management process that captures, evaluates, and prioritizes technology investments from across the organization.
  • Stakeholder Engagement
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders within the corporate functions, acting as a trusted advisor on all IT-related matters.
    • Communicate the value and impact of IT services to business stakeholders, enhancing understanding and support for IT initiatives
  • Requirements Gathering
    • Collaborate with BRM resources to ensure business requirements are gathered, documented and prioritized for each initiative, translating business needs into technical specifications
    • Ensure requirements are gathered from every region when applicable
  • Process Expertise
    • Ensure a strong understanding of corporate functions processes and systems already in use to effectively build a road map aligned with the corporate function’s vision
    • Collaborate with global process leaders to ensure understanding and alignment with the best practices
  • Change Management
    • Lead and support change management efforts related to IT initiatives, ensuring a smooth transition and high adoption rates
    • Collaborate with Regional IT Business Partners to ensure visibility on global IT initiatives
  • Governance and Compliance
    • Ensure IT initiatives comply with global IT policies, standards, and regulatory requirements
  • Innovation/Market Trends
    • Understands the IT industry, e.g., emerging technologies and trends, industry standards and the vendor landscape
    • Identify opportunities for digital transformation and innovation with corporate functions, advocating for the adoption of new technologies and practices
  • Performance Management
    • Ensure each IT initiatives that gets to the delivery stage have a strong business case
    • Develop Key performance indicators (KPIs) that link IT service delivery and project outcomes with business performance objectives


What you’ll bring to WSP:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education
    • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Finance, Business Administration or a related field. Master degree is a plus
  • Experience
    • 10+ years of experience in an IT Business Partnering or a related role, with a focus on specific corporate functions (Finance, Legal, HR, Shared Services, Procurement, Marketing/Communications, Project Delivery)
  • Skills
    • Proficient in strategic business partnering with a passion for developing relationships
    • Strong customer awareness and a proven track record of ensuring stakeholder inclusivity
    • Ability to quickly gain the confidence of the business and colleagues through excellent communication and influencing skills
    • Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements
    • Proven experience in IT business partnering, in business relationship management, in IT service delivery, and strategic planning within a corporate setting
    • Strong understanding of corporate functions and their IT needs
    • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, capable of articulating the value of technology investments in terms of business outcomes
    • Experience with project management methodologies
    • Strong knowledge of IT governance, compliance, and risk management
    • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Certifications
    • Relevant certifications such as ITIL, PMP, or BRMP are preferred
