About The Position

We are seeking responsible and dynamic individuals to join our list of Casual Uncertified Short-term Teachers on Call. Preference will be given to individuals with a demonstrated work history or volunteer experience working with children and youth.

Start date: Candidates must be available to attend new hire training from November 12 to November 15 to be considered in this hiring cohort.

Core Responsibilities

Provide supervision and ensure the safety of students in the classroom during the absence of the regular teacher.

Carry out learning activities and follow lesson plans left by the classroom teacher.

Maintain a positive and respectful classroom environment.

Communicate effectively with school staff and students to support a smooth transition during the teacher's absence.

Demonstrate flexibility and responsiveness to the needs of each assignment.

Salary Range: $306.73 per day

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent academic qualifications

Demonstrated interest and experience in working with children and youth, through employment or volunteer work

Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents.
