Position Summary

Under the direction of the Team Lead, Helpdesk & Device Management and working closely with the Technical Support Specialists, the LUMEO Client Support Technician will assist the Information Management and Technology department with logging service tickets within our helpdesk software, may be required to disconnect, reconnect and test devices, i.e. printers, computers and phones within Providence Care Hospital and provide hardware and software support as it relates to the Lumeo project.

Skills And Qualifications Required

• Enrolled in or completed an Information Technology program
• Experience working in a hospital setting an asset
• Valid Ontario driver’s license Class G, and clear driver’s abstract
  
  

Position Duties & Responsibilities

• Disconnects, reconnects and tests devices as directed by the Team Lead, Helpdesk/Desktop Systems Administration
• Answers the helpdesk phone to provide customer service, as it relates to the Lumeo project
• Provides hardware and software support
• Supports the planning and device deployment, as it relates to the Lumeo project
• Logs all information related to Lumeo device movement in the ticketing system to ensure accurate and up-to-date hardware inventory information is maintained
• Escalates issues to the Team Lead, Helpdesk & Device Management as needed
• Participates in staff meetings, education and/or training for health and safety as required by Providence Care
• Works in compliance with the Health & Safety Act and its regulations in performing duties in a safe manner and follows all health and safety policies, procedures and legislation including, wearing the appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), as required
• Performs other related duties
