Receptionist

Description

We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Receptionist in Brantford, Ontario, This role involves a variety of administrative tasks in a professional setting, including managing incoming calls, scheduling couriers, and assisting with event coordination.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for visitors, providing a warm welcome and directing them as needed.
• Handle all incoming calls, ensuring they are redirected to the appropriate party.
• Manage incoming mail, sorting and distributing correspondence to the correct recipients.
• Oversee outgoing courier services, scheduling pickups and deliveries as required.
• Maintain security by managing access passes and ensuring all visitors are correctly signed in.
• Assist in the coordination of meetings and events, including preparing agendas and taking minutes.
• Support the CEO with various administrative tasks, including troubleshooting technical issues and managing the MS office suite.
• Assist the HR team with administrative duties, including recording worker hours.
• Maintain office supplies, tracking inventory and liaising with purchasing for reordering as needed.
• If possessing a background in HR, assist with the preparation of orientation packages and scheduling interviews.
  
  

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a receptionist role or similar
• Proficient in answering multi-line phone systems
• Demonstrated customer service skills
• Experience with data entry tasks
• Ability to handle email correspondence effectively
• Strong interpersonal skills for interacting with different stakeholders
• Knowledge of Microsoft Excel for data management
• Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook for scheduling and email management
• Proficient in Microsoft Word for document creation and editing
• Experience in organizing files and maintaining record systems
• Ability to schedule appointments efficiently and accurately
