We are currently seeking a Legal Assistant to join our team based in the Firm’s Fredericton, NB office.


Type of Position: Full-Time, Permanent

Close Date: Thursday, October 24th, 2024


The Opportunity:

At Stewart McKelvey, we are always excited to hear from talented people with administrative experience who are interested in joining the Firm’s Legal Assistant team! Our Legal Assistants work with a team of lawyers and other legal administrative professionals to support practices in a variety of areas of law, including Litigation, Labour & Employment, Corporate, Property, and other practice areas.


Our Legal Assistants are responsible for a number of tasks including drafting various types of documents, corresponding with clients, file and calendar management, time & billing-related tasks, arranging meetings & travel for lawyers, scanning/photocopying/binding, and other duties as required.


If you have administrative experience in a law firm or professional services environment (or have recently graduated from a paralegal or office administration program), with superb organization and time management skills, and enjoy providing incredible client service, we want to hear from you!


Although not a requirement, bilingualism in French & English would be considered an asset.
