Job Description
Position Responsibilities:
Provide excellent customer service by ensuring customers are acknowledged, customer project needs are met, complaints are resolved, service is quick and efficient and store is properly stocked
Ensure Associates are properly trained in product/services and customer service skills
Drive productively on the sales floor and other areas of responsibility
Ensure proper staffing levels; coach, train and develop associates by providing both formal and informal job-based feedback through the HR Review process and the Associate review process
Maintain store profitability through report analysis, identifying trends, defining problems and developing appropriate responses
Responsible for the management of the P/L as well as the overall operating efficiency of the store
Responsible for providing leadership to all direct reports and establishing career paths and learning opportunities.
Partnering with District and Divisional resources to ensure that the store is meeting allocated metrics and efficiencies
Safety expectations for this role are outlined under The Home Depot Canada Environmental Health & Safety Management system element under "Location Manager".
Experience/Knowledge Required
4-10 years of experience in retail management
Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred
Results-oriented leadership skills
Customer-service focused
Ability to solve problems, delegate tasks and achieve goals.
Solid business acumen demonstrated through the achievement of business results
An eagerness to learn and master new roles quickly.
Excellent communication skills among various audiences and organizational levels
Computer experience is a must
Strong work ethic, sense of responsibility and attention to detail and confidentiality
Ability to work a flexible retail schedule including nights and weekends.
