We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Coordinator, Recruitment to join our Shared Services team for a 24-month term. In this role, you will oversee the full recruitment cycle, from job postings through onboarding, while also providing general HR support. This position will primarily focus on recruitment tasks (85%) and will include additional responsibilities (15%) supporting the HR department with various administrative and operational functions. 


** Please note this position requires full-time on-site presence.


Key Responsibilities, include but are not limited to:

 Recruitment (85%)

  • Coordinate the full recruitment lifecycle, including posting jobs, sourcing candidates, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and conducting reference checks. 
  • Participate in interviews and provide timely feedback to candidates and hiring teams. 
  • Collaborate with hiring teams to define job requirements and candidate profiles. 
  • Maintain and update job boards, track applicant progress using the Applicant Tracking System (ATS), and manage job postings across platforms.
  • Prepare new hire agreements and coordinate the onboarding process for new employees.
  • Build and maintain relationships with external recruitment agencies and job boards.
  • Occasionally represent API at career fairs and recruitment events.
  • Initiate and review pre-employment checks.
  • Work closely with the HR Specialist to develop and implement recruitment initiatives. 
  • Add new hires to the HRIS system and ensure accurate employee record maintenance. 


 General HR Support (15%)

  • Assist the HR Specialist in maintaining employee records, generating reports, and tracking HR metrics. 
  • Draft employment change memos and employment verification letters as needed. 
  • Support and review performance reviews as part of the employee performance management process. 
  • Assist with various HR initiatives, such as employee engagement programs and performance review processes.
  • Respond to employee inquiries and help resolve HR-related issues. 
  • Participate in HR team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement of HR processes. 
  • Support other people and culture initiatives as required. 


Qualifications - (Education, Certification, Degree, Skills, Knowledge, etc.)

Education

  • Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field (or equivalent work experience) is an asset. 


Experience

  • 1-3 years of experience in recruitment, coordination, or administration within a high-volume environment.
  • Familiarity with HR software and Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), preferably BambooHR.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Google Suite.
  • Experience with Monday.com is considered an asset.
  • Knowledge of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) initiatives.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and communicate across various levels. 
  • Meticulous attention to detail with the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. 
  • Strong business acumen with a sense of urgency in delivering results. 
  • Understanding of collective agreements, employment terms, and the Employment Standards Code. 
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.\


Working Conditions:

  • Required travel between Edmonton API sites.
  • This position requires you to be on site.
  • 24-month term contract.
