Finance Manager

Description

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Finance Manager to join their team. The Finance Manager will play a key role in overseeing the financial operations, ensuring the accuracy of financial reporting, and supporting the overall financial health of the organization. This role is crucial for month-end closing, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis, and will involve collaboration with junior team members and external auditors. The Finance Manager will also be responsible for overseeing sales and revenue reporting to ensure accurate and timely financial insights. This role is based out of Vancouver, BC and has the option to work from home 2 days a week.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the month-end closing process, including preparing and reviewing working papers to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
• Review and mentor junior team members’ work, ensuring high-quality outputs and adherence to deadlines.
• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports in a timely and accurate manner.
• Oversee sales and revenue reporting, ensuring all data is captured accurately and reflects business performance.
• Assist in audits, working closely with auditors to provide required documentation and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Contribute to the budgeting process, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to support the company’s strategic goals.
• Provide insightful financial analysis to assist management in decision-making.
  
  

Requirements

Qualifications:

• CPA designation or equivalent professional qualification is required.
• Strong experience in month-end closing, financial reporting, budgeting, and revenue management.
• Prior experience in industries such as entertainment, retail, or audit is highly preferred.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
