Position Summary

This position is responsible for the installation, repair and test of Hibon products in the plant as well as at customer locations and to support manufacturing processes with technical feedback as well as physical assembly of Blowers, Pumps and vacuums.

This position will require frequent travel for domestic and international customers.

Essential Functions

  • Performs on-site maintenance, installation, repair, and testing of Hibon
  • products according to safety operations.
  • Defines working procedures, selecting tools and materials required to complete the task at hand and being in compliance with all safety practices and guidelines.
  • Takes responsibility for the safe handling of large heavy equipment (up to 35 tons).
  • Employs applicable safety procedures, drawings, diagrams, schematics (pneumatic, hydraulic and PLC), quality control documents & local policies.
  • Performs all work in accordance with all established safety policies and procedures at customer site.
  • Detects any unsafe conditions and potential hazards and provide workable procedures to remove the condition or minimize the hazard.
  • Demonstrates acceptable attendance per policy as a minimum but denotes extreme consideration for customer scheduling and needs as an essential function of this position.
  • Provides elevated level of customer service by dealing tactfully with customers and co-workers.
  • Prepares and submits written field service reports, including records of expenses, data log sheets, parts return lists, replaced materials and any other item applicable to every specific project.
  • Checks work to applicable engineering drawings and requirements, ensuring conformance to prescribed tolerances and standards.
  • Serves as “expert” resource with full knowledge regarding installation, repair procedures, balancing and functioning of blowers. May train new employees and mentor coworkers; shares knowledge gained by experience.
  • Travels by air or land (driving an assigned company truck) to customer sites.
  • Adapts the work schedule with corresponding overtime as needed.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.

Experience Required

  • Be mechanically inclined, self-motivated and able to work without supervision.
  • Additional job training on the assembly of blowers may be required upon request.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, PLC diagrams, work instructions, safety instructions, operates forklift and overhead crane.
  • Have demonstrated crane and rigging experience, knowledge of rigging and lifting equipment as well as parts that do not have a center of gravity that is easily identified.
  • Must have knowledge of Microsoft Office Products and good computer skills.
  • Between two to five years field service experience is desirable.

Education/Training Required

  • High School Diploma, or equivalent.
  • courses completed (Mechanical, Pneumatics, PLC, Hydraulics, is a plus).
  • Experience substituted for education.
