The Opportunity

We are looking for an Engineering Manager to join our talented team in Calgary, AB. This role involves leading and managing a variety of municipal engineering projects with oversight into other engineering disciplines, contributing to the continued growth of Global Raymac’s engineering team. The position reports to the VP, Engineering, and offers a great opportunity to grow your career.

  • Develop and identify new opportunities along with a corresponding team of engineers, designers, and technical staff to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards for our clients
  • Oversee the planning, design, and execution of engineering projects, ensuring compliance with local, provincial, and federal regulations
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, building and maintaining strong relationships, understanding their needs, and providing technical expertise and guidance
  • Develop and implement project management methodologies, best practices, and standards to enhance project efficiency and team performance
  • Collaborate with other departments and disciplines to ensure integrated project delivery
  • Prepare and present proposals, technical reports, and project documentation to clients and stakeholders
  • Mentor and develop team members, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented work environment
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, contributing to the growth and success of the company
  • Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards on all projects
  • Innovate and contribute to the development of new technologies and methodologies in municipal engineering


Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, with a preference for a specialization in municipal / land development

  • A minimum of 10+ years’ of professional experience in municipal engineering
  • PEng designation or eligibility for registration as a Professional Engineer
  • Demonstrated excellence in communication, both written and verbal
  • Leadership skills with a proven ability to make impactful decisions
  • Strong understanding of business principles and solution implementation
  • Understanding in engineering software and tools
  • Exceptional time management abilities, with a knack for prioritizing and managing multiple, conflicting priorities
