    As a member of our Human Resources team, you will join us supporting our exciting and growing business through key partnershipsThe Human Resources Coordinator will provide support to Management and Associates in Ontario. The position will entail a strong focus on recruitment in addition to HR Administration and working on various HR project initiatives.

    In this role you will:

    • Create offer letters, promotion letters, new hire packages, etc. and provide new Associates with orientation and onboarding
    • Provide support to the Regional HR Manager with handling employee/labour relations, health & safety, roll-out of any HR programs/initiatives, ad-hoc reports, etc…
    • Provide administrative support such as initiating any Associate changes into the HRIS System (SAP) such as new hires, promotions/transfers, leaves, wage adjustments, terminations and also liaising with payroll to ensure that changes are reflected accurately.
    • Maintain all Associate files and ensure they are up to date in our HRIS system (SAP).
    • Prepare and process HR documentation, monitor and action HR inbox within service level agreements and liaises with Payroll and HR internal partners as needed
    • Collaborate closely with the broader HR team to ensure successful implementation of HR initiatives such National Onboarding Review, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, and Associate Engagement.
    • Identify opportunities and propose solutions for continuous improvement relating to HR initiatives, policies, recruitment strategies and HR effectiveness.
    • Update and maintain the HR section of the company Intranet (SharePoint) site.
    • Co-Chair and/or participate with the region’s Joint Health and Safety Committee.


    The Qualifications and Experience we’d like to see:

    • Bachelor Degree or College Diploma in Human Resource Management, Business Administration or a related field; completed or working towards CHRP/CHRL designation is an asset.
    • Minimum of 3 years of progressive previous HR experience, preferably in retail or distribution environment with a strong focus on recruitment; experience in a unionized environment would be an asset.
    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to multi-task, prioritize, handle competing priorities and deadlines, and work well under pressure in a fast paced, high-volume environment.
    • Must have excellent interpersonal and communications skills with proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships at all levels of the organization.
    • Attention to detail, organizational and time management skills, and ability to work independently as well as within a team.
    • Good judgement, strong decision-making, problem-solving skills, and negotiation skills.
    • Proficient skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
    • Experience with SAP, SmartRecruiters ATS, SharePoint, LinkedIn Learning would be an asset.
    • Bilingual in English and French written/spoken is an asset.
