Position Overview

Richmond Volkswagen is seeking a motivated and customer-oriented Finance Portfolio Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting our customers with renewing their current finance contracts and helping them transition into new vehicles. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive sales, exceptional communication skills, and a passion for delivering excellent customer service. This is an excellent opportunity for an existing sales professional looking to transition into a sales management or finance management role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively contact customers with expiring finance contracts to discuss renewal options and new vehicle opportunities.
  • Provide expert advice on Volkswagen financing options and guide customers through the process of securing a new vehicle loan or lease.
  • Collaborate closely with the sales and finance teams to ensure a smooth transition for customers from their current vehicle to a new one.
  • Utilize CDK, ONE-EIGHTY, and Volkswagen Finance tools to track customer portfolios and manage ongoing relationships.
  • Analyze customer needs and financial situations to recommend the best financing solutions.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of financing options, interest rates, and available bank finance programs.
  • Build and maintain positive customer relationships, ensuring a high level of satisfaction.
  • Support the finance and sales teams in achieving monthly sales and finance targets.

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience in automotive sales or a related field, preferably within a dealership environment.
  • Strong phone communication and customer service skills.
  • Analytical skills with the ability to assess customer needs and provide tailored financing solutions.
  • Familiarity with Volkswagen Finance, CDK, ONE-EIGHTY, and bank finance programs is an asset.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • A desire to grow into a sales management or finance management role.
