Mechanical and Electrical Reliability Engineers

WestCorp Solutions Ltd. is seeking experienced Mechanical and Electrical Reliability Engineers to support our Client in the North Vancouver, BC region. These positions will work Monday – Friday, 8-hour days. Overtime may be required on occasion based on the client’s operational needs. The initial contract will be between 12 – 24 months with the potential for further extension as required. Candidates must be local to the area or willing to obtain residence in the area for the duration of the contract.
Key Accountabilities
- Provide support for reliability improvements across the business, focusing on either mechanical systems or electrical and instrumentation systems.
- Monitor system performance, identify optimization opportunities, and produce reliability reports.
- Lead Defect Elimination Projects using tools like Six Sigma, RCM, and RCA.
- Track and report cost savings, production gains, and lifecycle improvements.
- Collaborate with teams to share best practices and resolve reliability issues.
- Ensure adherence to all applicable safety protocols.
- Support the development of operational and capital project budgets.
- Participate in forums to implement best practices across the supply chain.
Qualifications
- Electrical or Mechanical Engineering Degree
- Electrical candidate requires prior experience in Instrumentation.
- Professional Engineer designation.
- Preference for Six Sigma and CMRP certification.
- 8+ years of experience in electrical/mechanical reliability engineering, with a focus on instrumentation in industries such as heavy industry, manufacturing, or utilities.
- Previous experience in a unionized environment overseeing multiple trades is an asset.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Leadership ability, team-oriented, and capable of working under pressure.
- Self-motivated with high attention to detail and minimal supervision required.
