PURPOSE OF POSITION:

This role is pivotal in ensuring the seamless implementation of IT changes, efficient release management, and the creation and maintenance of robust IT reporting frameworks. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in ITIL-based change management, DevOps-inspired release management, IT reporting and project management experience.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS:

ITIL-based IT Change Management

  • Manage and oversee the entire IT change management process according to ITIL best practices.
  • Evaluate and approve change requests, ensuring minimal disruption to IT services.
  • Conduct impact assessments, risk analysis, and formulate mitigation strategies for proposed changes.
  • Facilitate Change Advisory Board meetings, ensuring all stakeholders are informed and engaged.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation for all changes, ensuring transparency and traceability.


Release Management

  • Develop and implement release management processes inspired by DevOps principles.
  • Coordinate and manage the deployment of software releases across various environments.
  • Work closely with development, Quality Assurance, and operations teams to coordinate and ensure smooth, efficient and seamless release cycles.
  • Automate release processes to enhance efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot release issues, ensuring timely resolution and minimal impact on services.
  • Plan, schedule, and control software releases to ensure the successful deployment of updates and new features.
  • Maintain release documentation and ensure that all stakeholders are informed of release schedules and changes.
  • Conduct post-release reviews to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with established release policies and procedures.
  • Manage release-related risks and issues and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Monitor and report on release metrics to measure performance and impact.


IT Reporting Framework Creation and Monthly Reporting 

  • Design and implement an IT reporting framework to track key performance indicators and metrics.
  • Generate and distribute monthly IT performance reports to stakeholders.
  • Analyze data to identify trends, issues, and areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with various teams to gather relevant data and ensure accuracy in reporting.
  • Continuously improve the reporting framework to meet evolving business needs. 


QUALIFICATION AND SKILLS: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 10 years of experience in IT change management, release management, and IT reporting.
  • Strong working knowledge of ITIL best practices and DevOps principles.
  • Strong knowledge and experience managing projects specific to technology implementations.
  • Experience with change management tools and software.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
