Your Opportunity

Due North is actively seeking motivated new team members to join our maintenance team. Successful candidates will have a minimum of 2 years experience in a manufacturing environment. Preferably a metal fabrication shop, experience with either Salvagnini panel benders or Trumpf brake presses and punching machines would be a benefit but not required.

We offer a consistent schedule with a 5-day work week. We compensate our team members well with excellent benefits and generous perks.

The hourly starting rate for this role is from $40.00 to $48.00.

The main responsibilities of this position are, but not limited to:

  • Ensure that all duties and responsibilities are completed in accordance with the Company’s Health and Safety Policies and Procedures
  • Work with a computer. Filling out reports and staying on task.
  • Trouble shooting & repairing Metal Shop equipment when it goes down.
  • Maintaining processing equipment and completing routine maintenance schedules.
  • Perform machine overhauls as required
  • Communicate any maintenance work performed or maintenance requirements to the Shift Supervisor
  • Ensure all maintenance reports are completed accurately and in a timely manner. HIPPO Software knowledge would be a bonus, but not required.
  • Assist in the daily clean-up of the maintenance department at the end of shift
  • Maintain general cleanliness and tidiness of work area
  • Generate and implement continuous improvement ideas for production operations
  • Willing to work extra hours if required to complete tasks
  • Other duties as assigned to meet the ongoing needs of the organization

You Have

  • Experienced Maintenance Mechanic in a manufacturing environment
  • Preference given to candidates with Red Seal certification
  • Basic computer skills using Microsoft Office & HIPPO Maintenance Software
  • Experience with Trumpf and Salvagnini equipment is a bonus
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are required
  • Providing your own tools is a bonus but not required.
