 Millwright Mechanic

We're on the hunt for an exceptional Millwright Mechanic. If you're passionate about maintenance, troubleshooting, and ensuring equipment runs smoothly, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities

  • Ensure smooth operation of plant machinery through regular maintenance.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical issues efficiently.
  • Perform major and minor adjustments on equipment promptly.
  • Maintain cleanliness and functionality of all machines following GMP standards.
  • Complete necessary reports accurately after each task or adjustment.
  • Conduct both corrective and preventative maintenance tasks effectively.
  • Implement improvements on existing systems; research new technologies as needed.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A valid Industrial Skilled Trades License (Millwright) from Ontario or any province within Canada
  • At least 5 years of local experience in Canada
  • Strong understanding of bakeshop & packaging equipment (e.g., flow wrappers, metal detectors) Knowledgeable use of shop tools such as milling machines, lathes, grinders & drilling machines Proficiency in welding is an asset but not required

Skills Required

  • Troubleshooting skills with both mechanical problems
  • Efficient set-up procedures for various types’ industrial machinery/equipment
  • Ability To perform emergency first response/verification during crisis situations
  • Good written/oral communication proficiency using English language
