Primary Objective of the Position

Safe and timely processing of Cargo and aircraft loading/offloading within prescribed parameters.

Essential Position Functions

  • Loading/offloading of aircrafts and trucks.
  • Operating ground support equipment.
  • Repeated and continuous lifting of packages up to 60lbs.
  • Sort packages based on customer, airport of destination, and other parameters.
  • Communicate piece counts, and package information to Lead Hands, and Supervisors.
  • Handle customer packages, and freight with due care and attention.
  • Ensure all safety and security protocols are adhered to.
  • Perform general housekeeping duties as required.
  • Perform tasks associated with Dangerous Goods Handling/Acceptance.
  • Meet time-sensitive deadlines for freight build-up/breakdown as part of a team dynamic.
  • Learn and apply specific training modules required for the position (WHMIS, SMS, Dangerous Goods, Hazard Prevention,

etc.…) * Must be able to work outside in all weather conditions. * Working in and around aircraft daily.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Graduate or equivalent experience.
  • Valid Class 5 Drivers License or equivalent.
  • Ability to obtain a RAIC pass (Transport Canada Security Clearance).
  • Ability to lift up to 60lbs repeatedly.
  • Ability to work within a "team first" environment, and complete common goals within time-sensitive deadlines.
  • Excellent punctuality, and attendance habits.
  • Ability to learn quickly, and adapt to fast-changing customer requirements.
  • Willingness to take direction with a keen interest in further development within the local operation.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Flexible to work shift work, weekends and stat holidays.
  • Be willing to be subject to a background check; clearance is required.
  • Be willing to work outside.
