Position Details: The Auditorium Manager provides a broad range of management, supervisory, and technical functions to schedule/manage/implement/coordinate the technical resources/requirements of the Peacock Centennial Auditorium. This position works variable hours and days, based on events and auditorium usage (780 hours per school year)
Duties
Supervises all auditorium events including scheduling, set-up, presentation and tear down and ensure that terms of each rental agreement are met
Coordinates the technical demands of productions, performances and events using the auditorium such as:
Coordinates the technical demands of single-date events as needed by the greater school community into the overall schedule. These events may take place during the school day or may require the manager to be available during evenings and/or weekends. This includes providing the technical support for school based programs such as graduations, dance performances, and award ceremonies
Maintains safety and efficiency of all auditorium technical facilities: physical plant, stage rigging, construction area, lighting, and sound equipment
Orders supplies and maintain inventory control of equipment and supplies. Make recommendations for annual operating budget repairs
Fosters a professional, collegial relationship with all production coordinators, and school personnel involved in productions, programs and events
Performs minor repairs to auditorium items such drapery rods, stage floor, and seats as required
Responds to inquiries or complaints and resolve problems regarding rentals
Performs other duties as may be required or assigned by the Facilities Manager or School Principal.
A minimum of Grade 12 diploma from a recognized institution as approved by the Board of Education or General Educational Development (GED)
A minimum of one (1) year relevant experience
Working knowledge of stage management/or production management
Working knowledge and clear understanding of professional standards of stage safety

- working a LS9 digital sound board
- coordinating and maintaining wireless microphone equipment

This includes providing the technical support for school based programs such as graduations, dance performances, and award ceremonies
