WHAT WILL YOU DO?

  • Lead the design and future planning of IT/OT solutions for a complex and integrated field operations business line.
  • Design, plan, implement and support all IT equipment and services for field locations.
  • Analyze and determine service priorities, plan daily travel schedule, investigate user complaints, troubleshoot and resolve system/hardware/software problems.
  • Ensure technicians (FTE or vendors) have the necessary training and tools needed to perform their duties safely and with high quality.
  • Collaborate with T1 and Field Operations teams to provide resolution for escalated customer issues.
  • Deliver exceptional service through proactive problem solving, metrics and recommending system improvements.
  • Establish services by assessing system requirements, procuring necessary components, performing installation or repairs and conducting acceptance tests.
  • Provide input and maintain capital and operating budgets for field assets and services.
  • Develop and maintain documentation, guidelines and policies to optimize service delivery and ensure alignment with technical systems designs.
  • Coordinator with third-party vendors to support ongoing operations of complex internet, cameras and gates solutions.
  • Provide on-call escalation support as part of a rotating schedule with other field operations team members.
  • Participate in special projects, technology upgrades and new deployments.
  • Travel up to 20% of the time within Canada and the US to oversee service planning and resolve technical issues.


WHAT WILL YOU NEED?

  • 10 + years of leadership experience in field operations, including design, implementation and support.
  • Extensive experience in telecommunications, inventory management, capital operating budgets, contract management and performance monitoring.
  • Extensive working knowledge with Active Directory/Azure Active Directory; Microsoft 365 Admin Center/Office 365 Platform; Meraki Networking, telecommunications design and support.
  • Familiarity with field technologies such as Rhombus, Davinci, and OpenTech would be considered an asset.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly and effectively.
  • A technical diploma or degree in Computer Sciences is considered an asset.
  • A valid driver's license and passport are required for travel within the US.
