We are currently hiring for a Technical Infrastructure Analyst to support for our Calgary team. Your primary duties will be to support the Service Desk/Call Centre, including: Workspace Services tasks such as PC imaging, preparation of retired IT assets for destruction, recycling, IT asset tracking, storage, verification, reconciliation, report running, conference room IT asset verification and other related tasks. Perform a variety of professional, technical and analytical duties in the operation of the enterprise, client/server environment. You will provide day-to-day support and customer interaction for break-fix and troubleshooting issues including proactive maintenance for applications and services. A part of the responsibilities in this role will also support the design, analysis, plans and implementation of IT projects which includes considerations for data storage, virtualization, collaboration, applications, networks and operating systems, security as well as support processes.

Duties may include, but are not limited to, the following

  • Analyze, detect, identify and correct technical problems and deficiencies.
  • Service request completion. Including updating and communicating customers
  • Determines proper installation parameters for software and hardware, for smooth integration, transition and efficiency
  • Installation and configuration of software(s)
  • Hardware support and Operating System Support
  • Application and recommendation of updates, patches and hot-fixes to systems
  • Document hardware and software inventory
  • Process and procedure creation and documentation
  • Monitor and collect data on system performance
  • Performs physical cleanup of work areas
  • Ensure all devices meet or exceed Security and Corporate policy requirements
  • Contribute to the design, implementation of new technologies
  • Ability to research errors using online resources
  • Contribute to the design, implementation and maintenance of the disaster recovery plan for IT related applications and systems
  • Seeks to identify areas of improvements to the IT infrastructure to meet evolving users and customer requirements, challenges.
  • Develops key relationships. Work with third party vendors and peers from other General Dynamics Business units
  • After hours support to ensure availability, integrity and introduction of new and existing services
  • Performs related duties as assigned.


Required Education & Experience

  • College Diploma in computer science or related computer systems diploma
  • Service desk or desktop IT support experience

Good technical knowledge in one or more of the following areas:

  • Microsoft Windows based Desktop applications
  • Microsoft SCCM and Microsoft Server Editions
  • Microsoft Azure services
  • IT Ticketing system and Scripting languages
  • Active Directory and VPN Technology
  • O365 and Citrix
  • Multi-function Printers and Video Conferencing Applications
  • Desktop and laptop hardware and mobile devices

Security:

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain Canadian Security Clearance and a positive Controlled Goods Assessment. Eligibility to work in Canada either as a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident.
