About the team

SSENSE is looking for a Software Developer (Level 3) to join our rapidly growing technology team. The Software Developer will join a squad and deepen their knowledge of software development. They will be responsible for developing and maintaining software solutions that streamline and automate transportation and shipping processes. They will break down the complex problems with minimal guidance into smaller, manageable steps to deliver for well-defined features of the Product roadmap. The ideal candidate will contribute to knowledge dissemination within the organization and participate in the recruiting and onboarding of new employees.

How to excel in this role

  • Build on OOP Experience: Leverage your minimum of 3 years in Object Oriented Programming to create robust, scalable solutions that align with best practices. (TypeScript/Node.js/Vue.js)

  • Design Microservices Effectively: Use your knowledge of microservices concepts to define and develop complex microservices with minimal guidance, ensuring modular and efficient architectures.

  • Optimize Performance and Utilize Cloud Technologies: Identify caching opportunities and implement them with guidance, while also applying cloud and container concepts to enhance application deployment and scalability.

  • Familiarity with Industry-Specific Software: Bring your knowledge of carrier management software and concepts to the team, ensuring that your contributions are relevant and impactful within the logistics domain (nice to have).

  • Utilize Version Control: Demonstrate proficiency in Git to manage code efficiently, collaborate seamlessly with team members, and maintain a clean project history.
