Parking Services at the University of Toronto Scarborough aims to provide students, staff, faculty and visitors with a safe and accessible campus and is responsible for the administration and enforcement of all parking on campus. We manage and operate ten parking lots on campus with a variety of parking options, including hourly parking, daily flat-rate parking, as well as monthly, term and annual parking permits.

Your opportunity:
Under the general direction of the Manager, Parking Services, Security & Fire, the incumbent will assist with the daily oversight and processing of online permit purchases, provide prompt and responsive customer service, maintain information in databases and digital platforms, as well as trouble shoot and resolve technical issues with an online sales platform. The incumbent will provide front-line customer service through various channels, processes sales transactions, and perform a variety of activities related to the efficient administrative operation of the Parking Services office.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Responding to enquiries within the defined scope of the role and redirecting as appropriate
- Applying established standards when issuing parking permits
- Verifying the accuracy and completeness of sales records and deposits
- Liaising with service provider to resolve issues with malfunctioning equipment
- Providing detailed explanations on parking and ticketing procedures
- Applying the University Guide to Financial Management and other applicable policies, agency and regulatory requirements
- Generating standard financial reports
- Processing cash, debit and/or credit card transactions
Essential Qualifications:
- College Diploma (2 years) in Business Administration or related field, or acceptable combination of equivalent experience.
- Minimum two (2) years of related experience providing administrative support in a front-line customer service and sales role.
- Demonstrated experience maintaining information on digital platforms.
- Experience generating standard financial reports, including preparing deposit reports, journal entries and invoices.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office (e.g. Word, Excel, SharePoint and Outlook) and database management.
- Excellent organizational, multi-tasking and time-management skills and the ability to appropriately prioritize tasks.
- Skilled in handling multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with a superior customer service approach.
- Ability to deal tactfully, personably and effectively with administrators, faculty, staff and students, as well as members of the public.
- Must have a valid class 'G' Ontario driver's license with a clean driving record.

Assets (Nonessential):
- Previous experience in a parking services role.
- Knowledge of parking systems and equipment.
