As a Field Service Engineer II here at Honeywell, you will be responsible for providing technical support and services to our customers. You will diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues, perform repairs and maintenance, and ensure customer satisfaction. Your expertise and attention to detail will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality service and maintaining strong customer relationships.

You will report directly to our Field Service Manager and you'll work out of our designated customer sites in the area. This role requires a combination of on-site and remote work, depending on customer needs.

In this role, you will impact the success of our customers by ensuring the reliable operation of their equipment and systems. You will also contribute to the growth of our business by identifying opportunities for service contract renewals and upselling additional services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide on-site technical support to customers, including troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of advanced systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance activities to ensure the optimal performance of our products.
  • Document and report all service activities, including findings, recommendations, and solutions.
  • Train customers on the proper use and maintenance of our products.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by providing timely and effective solutions.
  • Identify opportunities for service contract renewals and upselling additional services.
  • Providing support to the clients in Alberta and Manitoba, including working at the client sites which requires 80% of traveling.
  • Willing to work on scheduled maintenance and projects outside of regular working hours as required.

YOU MUST HAVE

  • College Diploma or bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as engineering or computer science
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in field service engineering or a related role
  • Strong technical knowledge and troubleshooting skills with industry standard communication protocols (IP, BACnet, Modbus, OPC, SNMP, API)
  • Valid Driver’s license is required due to the travel requirements of this role, which includes visiting customer sites approximately 80% to 90% of the time."

  • Excellent knowledge of industry standard open communications protocols
  • Basic network fault finding capability.
  • Knowledge of system monitoring toolsets
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (DB, SQL, scripting)
  • A strong commitment to safety and a safe working environment.
  • Strong knowledge of IP network technologies (switch, router, firewall) and solutions, and proficient with IP addressing and allocation
  • Ability to plan and schedule large projects.
  • Willing to develop extensive product knowledge in formal training, and in “on the job” environments, working with the latest Honeywell technology.
  • Able to work cooperatively and provide technical direction in a team environment.
