Job Title: Financial Global Operations - Payroll
Responsible for developing and executing the governance structure,
ensuring standardization, and identifying areas for improvement of
payroll accounting processes.
- Identify process risks/opportunities and establish recommendations for resolution
- Manage all related payroll close activities in a timely manner
- Ensure accurate recording of payroll costs to general ledger
- Review and resolve reconciliations for liability and payroll accounts
- Ensure closing entries and activities are performed on time and accurately.
- Support execution of annual financial and statutory audits for payroll processes in conjunction with external auditors and Veolia Controllership.
- Collaborate globally with key Veolia functions/stakeholders to enhance effectiveness and efficiency.
- Work closely with Veolia Internal Controls leader to ensure adherence of payroll accounting processes to internal controls.
- Education
- Minimum of 4 years Accounting or Finance degree
Hard Skills
- 7-10 years in accounting/financial reporting
- Experience with SAP is desired
- Strategic thinker with the ability to make connections across workstreams
- Excellent communication, organizational, analytical skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion
- Ability to demonstrate a high degree of accuracy and urgency
