PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
You will become a member of a dedicated and experienced team of service professionals, coordinating and ensuring the successful delivery of commodities across CPKC’s growing Intermodal segment. Movement of intermodal equipment by rail provides customers cost-effective options that reduce greenhouse gas emissions as compared to truck. Focus on customer service, proactively building effective solutions, and collaboration are keys to success in this fast paced and dynamic environment. Becoming a qualified conductor or locomotive engineer is the single best way for a management employee to learn the business at CPKC. You may be required to obtain a certification or to maintain your current certification/qualification as a conductor or locomotive engineer.

POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Providing uninterrupted delivery of services by handling and resolving unique, tactical, production issues related to Intermodal Operations
- Delivering quality, timely resolution of operational issues
- Development and maintenance of processes and cutting-edge systems that support continuous improvement of work and quality of service
- Providing immediate feedback to Manager, Supervisor and Customer Appointing team on root cause of issues including provision of coaching as required
- Development of process and technology improvements on production standards and metrics as well as providing expertise to support achievement of service level agreements
- University degree preferred and/or 2 years’ railway/trucking operations experience
- Willing to be available as required on a 7X24 basis
- Excellent communication (written and verbal), organizational, and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to drill down, understand root cause and resolve complex issues
- Intermodal and/or Rail Operations experience would be considered an asset
- Knowledge of the following computer applications would be considered an asset
- TMS, SAP, CWEB, Vendor Web, Next Gen
- OASIS
- Order Entry & Fastway
- SharePoint
- Microsoft suite of tools
- Bilingual in English and Spanish; an asset
