Sourcing Manager

Description

We are offering an opportunity for a Sourcing Manager based in Toronto, Ontario. The role primarily revolves around the management of outsourcing, which is a critical function in our industry. The workplace has a dynamic environment where you will be handling various responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage the sourcing process for various projects.
• Develop and implement sourcing strategies.
• Collaborate with internal teams to understand their sourcing needs.
• Evaluate potential suppliers based on the company's needs.
• Negotiate contracts with suppliers to ensure the best cost and quality.
• Monitor market trends to identify new potential suppliers.
• Manage relationships with suppliers to ensure consistent supply.
• Handle any issues or problems that arise with current suppliers.
• Ensure all sourcing activities align with company policies and standards.
• Continually assess the efficiency of the sourcing process and make improvements as needed.
  
  

Requirements

• Proven experience in a Sourcing Manager role or similar position in procurement
• Demonstrated expertise in outsourcing management
• Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to drive cost-saving initiatives
• Profound understanding of market dynamics and sound business judgement
• Strong project management and leadership skills
• Ability to perform strategic sourcing activities including need identification, market research, supplier negotiation, contract execution, etc.
• Proficiency in relevant sourcing tools and software
• Knowledge of sourcing and procurement procedures
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to create financial reports and conduct cost analyses
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• High degree of professional ethics and integrity
• Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field.
