Computershare has an exciting opportunity for a permanent full-time Senior Business Systems Analyst to join our Business Solutions Group as part of our Computershare Issuer Services (CIS) team.

A role you will love

As the Senior Business Systems Analyst, you’ll be responsible for key contributions to all the non-programming phases of the systems development lifecycle including Requirement Gathering, Design Review, Testing, Deployment, and Support.

In this role, you will deliver accurate analysis, configuration, testing and support for a suite of internal software applications covering work distribution, call centre interface & IVR, scan automation, and a document storage repository.

To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate advanced, experience-based knowledge to become the chief team expert on one or more functional areas and provide training and guidance to junior members of the team.

You’ll also get to work closely with business stakeholders and project managers to identify appropriate solutions and accomplish business objectives.

Key Responsibilities Include

  • Providing first-line support and subject matter expertise to the business stakeholders and junior team members regarding the supported software applications
  • Leveraging experience and expertise working with business stakeholders, management and team members to drive optimal solutions to accomplish business and project objectives
  • Advocating sound, scalable, sustainable solutions for various business requirements arising from continuous improvement analysis, customer feedback, government regulations, risk/audit findings or other sources
  • Performing and documenting configuration changes, as well as User Acceptance and Regression testing for multiple moderately complex functionalities contained in software releases and patches
  • Assisting the Global Development team and junior team members with issue diagnosis and resolution
  • Participating in change deployment and smoke testing efforts (outside of normal business hours, where required)

What will you bring to the role?

  • 5+ years’ experience as a Business Systems Analyst or similar role
  • 3+ years’ experience working in the financial industry
  • 1+ years’ User Acceptance Testing experience
  • Prior experience providing technology support
  • Proven ability to understand significantly complex functional specification documents

Bonus Points If You Have

  • Application or database design experience (VBA)
  • Strong knowledge in design concepts of relational databases
  • Prior experience in development (EUC)
  • Project Management experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in related field
