Dumas is a leading full-service underground mining contractor providing services to clients throughout the Americas. Over the past 23 years, Dumas has completed over 500 projects in 10 countries, for over 40 clients.

Dumas’ primary services are mine development and construction, contract production mining and shaft sinking. We believe that we are the leading contractor in terms of safety, versatility, productivity and fostering strong relationships. We are able to provide or source any services required to construct and operate an underground mine.

Key Responsibilities For The Position

• Lead by example and actively promote full participation and adherence to safety programs by all employees
• Accountable to meet safety, production and budget targets
• Inspect workplace for compliance to codes, regulations and standards
• Lead by example to actively promote full participation by all employees in the Company safety programs and initiatives to achieve set goals
• Deal with any unsafe condition or act immediately. Rectify or isolate
  
  

Key Requirements

Technical Competencies

• Completion of all relevant Common Core Specialty Modules or their provincial equivalent
• Trained and experienced in shaft rehab, procedures and equipment being used

Work Experience And Educational Level

• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to problem solve
• 5 years of experience with shaft maintenance/rehab operations
