Overview

Solace is seeking a Cybersecurity Specialist who will work directly with the Chief Information Security Officer to improve our cybersecurity posture.

Your Day to Day:

• React to alerts from the Security Operations Center and investigate
• Perform vendor security reviews
• Communicate to staff about security concerns
• Oversee the cybersecurity training program for staff
• Manage endpoint compliance
• Perform audits such as access, administrator actions, physical security
• Triage vulnerabilities and provide guidance on remediation urgency
• Maintain and improve procedures
• Take part in SOC 2 and ISO/IEC 27001 audits as a subject matter expert
• Participate in remediation of non-conformances and opportunities for improvement

• Understanding of security principles and practices
• Threat and risk assessments
• Vulnerability assessments and remediation
• Security tools (SIEM, IDS, IPS, logging)
• Endpoint protection / EDR / Policies
• Spam / malware / phishing
• Incident Management
• Vendor Security Review
• Administer Security Training
• Lead meetings
• Perform Access Audits
• Conduct Policy Audits
• Conduct Physical Audits
• Aid in running tabletop exercises

Other Skills/Experience

• Knowledge of Linux and Windows internals
• Solid understanding of network fundamentals
• Understanding and experience with virtualization
• Scripting experience is an asset
• Cloud experience is an asset
• Knowledge of Azure Active Directory
• Knowledge of Mobile Device Management
• Knowledge of SOC 2 and ISO/IEC 27001 compliance standards
• Understanding of Change Management
• Jira ticketing system
• Procedure writing
