About The Opportunity

Coastland Wood Industries Ltd. currently has an opportunity for Entry-level Production workers to join our team in Nanaimo, BC.

Keys for success include a positive attitude, consistent effort, and a reliable attendance record. Our commitment is to provide a safe and productive work environment with continuous improvement to sustain the livelihoods of the families we employ.

Our entry level position involves training at all rotation positions including green chain, strapping station, veneer stackers, core packaging, and veneer clipper. Training advancement will vary with each person. Typical full qualification is 10-12 months. Our current production shifts are 4 on and 4 off, working 2 days followed by 2 nights. Production shifts are scheduled 12 hours, working an average of 42 hours over an 8 week period with two hours of premium pay each week. Fully qualified rate is $34.93/hr.

Coastland has successfully navigated more than 35 years of employment in the coastal forest industry and looks forward to completing 50 years.
