Accounts Payable Supervisor

Description

We are in search of an Accounts Payable Supervisor to join our team. Situated in Woodstock, Ontario, Canada, your role will be pivotal in overseeing all aspects of our Accounts Payable function, crucial to both our Accounting and Operations teams.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the vendor master database to ensure accurate vendor setup.
• Coordinate with the team to execute weekly check runs to maintain a smooth flow of operations.
• Perform accurate and timely account reconciliations for Accounts Payable and liability accounts, identifying any discrepancies and offering solutions.
• Supervise month-end closing processes for Accounts Payable functions and prepare accurate AP accruals.
• Implement and maintain Accounts Payable policies and procedures to ensure compliance and efficiency.
• Lead process changes in the ERP enhancement project to improve AP operations.
• Manage relationships with substrates, suppliers, and vendors by applying sound principles.
• Assist in the management of cash flow and prepare comprehensive cash flow reports.
• Actively participate in managing project close-out processes, such as subcontract and PO close-out and subtrade’s account reconciliations.
• Assist with annual budgeting, monthly forecasting, and annual auditing to ensure financial stability and growth.
  
  

Requirements

• Must hold a minimum of 7 years of experience in Accounts Payable and 3+ years in a managerial position
• Proficient in Account Coding
• Demonstrable experience with Accounting Software Systems
• Extensive knowledge of Accounting Functions
• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP)
• Understanding of Accrual Accounting
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to handle confidential information
• Proficient in problem-solving and decision-making
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Demonstrated analytical skills.
