Jr. Logistics Coordinator

Our client, a leading unionized food manufacturer, is currently in search of a highly skilled Junior Logistics Coordinator to join their team in Brampton, ON.

This position will assist with both logistics’ activities and accounts payable functions, providing support to our logistics and finance teams. The role aims to enhance operational efficiency and will report into the Sr. Export Coordinator while working collaboratively with the AP Coordinator.

Junior Logistics Coordinator Details

Junior Logistics Coordinator Responsibilities

• Collect veterinarian signatures at the CFIA office daily.
• Manage inventory for export documents, including labels, carbon paper, placards, and seals/ink for dedicated printers.
• Oversee and coordinate the transfer schedule and raw material schedule.
• Ensure accurate filing and maintenance of finance-related documents.
• Assist in filing weekly open invoices and reviewing cheque run reports to extract invoices for payment.
• Match invoices to cheques and prepare signed cheques for mailing.
• Maintain accurate records by filing previous week’s payments and renaming files in the N-Drive invoice database.
• Support the tracking of purchase orders (POs), manage invoice processing, and proceed with accruals as necessary.
• Process freight and delivery invoices, dedicating approximately 20 hours per week to these tasks.
  
  

Junior Logistics Coordinator Qualifications

• Supply Chain or Accounting degree preferred
• 1-2 years experience in an office environment required
• Reliable transportation and valid drivers license required
• Previous experience in logistics and/or accounts payable
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in document management and filing systems.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Familiarity with basic accounting principles and software is a plus.
