WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for a transportation associate manager to manage the safe and prompt delivery of raw materials via ground and air.

WHAT YOU'D BE DOING IN THIS ROLE

  • Monitor and assess the Canada and Cross Border outbound and inbound shipments of raw materials and packaging materials, preparing detailed reports, and proactively planning changes to schedules and policies to enhance efficiency.
  • Implement operational policies and standards, ensuring strict adherence to safety procedures, particularly in the handling of dangerous goods, while ensuring compliance with transport regulations for inbound/outbound shipments.
  • Manage spot rates to help ensure our product flow is uninterrupted and receives the best combination of cost and service.
  • Partner with Transportation Excellence in improving transportation efficiency, with a keen focus on optimizing costs, improving carrier performance, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Track and trace Canada and Cross Border outbound and inbound global shipments, investigate discrepancies, to ensure shipments arrive safely and meet quality standards.
  • Implement invoice validation procedures to minimize errors.
  • Continuously measure and enhance outbound and inbound l logistics processes to achieve supply chainKPI targets, focusing on on-time delivery, cost optimization, and carrier performance.
  • Ensure compliance with warehouse policies and procedures, covering shipments, safety standards, stocking, andlabeling, to maintain high-quality standards.
  • Effectively manage day-to-day appointment scheduling and bookings for our warehouses and Distribution centers.
  • Utilize transportation dashboards to report on open orders and delivery schedules, advance the system for managing forecasts, and present department activity during daily calls.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED TO GET THE JOB DONE

  • Bachelor’s Degree or College Diploma or equivalent work experience in Global Logistics, Transportation, Supply Chain Management
  • Strong analytical skills, ability to navigate between several modules/programs
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, Word etc.
  • 3 + years of carrier management and/or leadership experience is required
  • 3 + years of experience in transportation operations Air and Ocean is required
