What’s the job?
Reporting to the Compliance & Technical Services Manager, a successful candidate will be accountable for providing product code compliance, technical support, and certification management primarily for the Kaycan products in NA, servicing R&D, Quality and Manufacturing plants.
Incumbent plays an important role in ensuring that products compliant with relevant building codes and standards, while also supporting company’s reputation and minimizing product regulator risks.
· Utilize technical background and experience on local, national, and regional regulations related to product compliance, labeling and technical support to communicate product regulatory requirements to internal teams, such as product development, manufacturing, marketing etc.
· Participate in cross functional teams to integrate product compliance considerations into product design, development, optimization, and manufacturing processes.
· Review product specifications to ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
· Manage product testing and certification processes, including coordinating with third-party testing laboratories and certification bodies.
· Document and maintain records of compliance activities, including test reports, certifications, and regulatory submissions.
· Respond to inquiries and requests from regulatory agencies, customers (internal and external), and stakeholders regarding product compliance.
· Stay current on changes to building codes, regulations and industry best practices related to product compliance.
· Represent the company and the company’s business interests at industry, standards and regulatory meetings and events.
· Demonstrates open and collaborative approach in all areas of responsibility.
· Seeks out others to enhance and streamline development and decision making.
· Understands Gate Process methodology/ideology and follow the guidelines in assigned projects
· Be able to fill in standard deliverables for Project Management through interactions with stakeholders
REQUIREMENTS
· A Bachelors degree with 10 years of experience, or a Masters degree with 5 years of experience in Materials Science, Mechanical, Civil or Structural Engineering, Architecture, or construction technology related fields.
· 5-10 years of hands-on experience with product approval management, code compliance support, technical support and/or quality management.
· Must possess a valid drivers license and a valid Canadian passport
