YOUR ROLE
The Crop Protection Account Manager will manage direct sales to Strategic accounts within Agrico’s crop protection business in Eastern Canada. This individual will build a sustainable business relationship with distributors and select retail accounts and, in symphony with the Sollio team, provide exceptional customer service in product knowledge, forecasting and logistic support.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Strategically analyze the needs, and successfully position crop protection products, for distributor and select wholesale accounts in the Eastern Canada geography.
- Negotiate and execute a growth and profit focused sales strategy
- Implement a comprehensive call strategy in alignment with the objectives of the Agrico sales team.
- Creatively imagine and deliver customer support to strengthen relationships and grow sales.
- Coordinate the delivery of product knowledge, and positioning at the field level
- Challenge and change the status quo by critically evaluating program effectiveness and competitive activity to achieve the best for our customers.
- Continue to develop professionally, remaining current with new technologies and sales management tools and tactics.
What You Bring
You fit the following profile:
- A bachelor’s degrees in Agronomy, Business or Marketing
- A minimum of 7 years of agricultural sales or agronomy experience with a demonstrated ability to build strategic and long-term business relationships
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365, specially in Microsoft Excel
- Demonstrated experience working with strategic accounts to build and maintain productive relationships
- Excellent communication and negotiating skills
- A solid understanding of agronomic practices in crop protection
- Solid time management skills to balance your workload and meet deadlines
- Bilingual language skills in French and English will be an asset for this position
