THE ROLE:
Our Edmonton Client is seeking a highly motivated Power BI Analyst to join their team for a 6-month contract. The ideal candidate will have solid experience in translating business data into insightful visuals for strategic decision-making purposes using Power BI. If you are detail-oriented, a proven problem solver, and are looking for an opportunity to make an impact, they would love to meet you.
Responsibilities
You are a highly motivated Power BI Analyst, seeking an exciting opportunity with our client in Edmonton. With a minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in data analytics or business intelligence position, you have a proven ability to translate complex business data into insightful visuals that drive strategic decision-making. You carry a bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Economics, Business Analytics, or Statistics and demonstrate proficiency with Power BI. Your strong knowledge of data warehouses, databases, and data modeling complements your excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. As a team player, you thrive on strong analytical and communication skills, utilizing your experience with SQL and ability to write effective SQL queries to make an impact on your work environment. - Design, develop, and maintain business intelligence reports and dashboards using Microsoft Power BI
- Gather, evaluate, and deliver accurate real-time data to help drive business decisions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data and reporting requirements
- Ensure data accuracy and create tools to present data in a user-friendly interface for our clients
- Provide training and technical assistance to other team members on business intelligence tools and software
